Cardiology-Informed Private GP Care in London

A private GP consultation grounded in hospital and cardiology experience — considered, unhurried, and quietly thorough.

Many of the concerns people bring to a private GP — chest discomfort, breathlessness, palpitations, high blood pressure, family history of heart disease — sit at the intersection of general practice and cardiology.

Dr Maytham Omran is a UK-trained physician whose background spans NHS general practice, acute hospital medicine and cardiology. That perspective shapes the assessment: symptoms are placed in a wider clinical context, and onward specialist input is arranged only where it genuinely adds value.

When people ask us to see them

  • Chest tightness, unexplained breathlessness or exertional symptoms
  • Palpitations, missed beats or awareness of an irregular pulse
  • Persistently raised blood pressure, or borderline readings at home
  • Family history of coronary disease, stroke or sudden cardiac events
  • Pre-employment, pre-travel or life-insurance cardiac clearance
  • A second opinion on an existing cardiology report or investigation

What a consultation looks like

Consultations are unhurried. A careful history, examination, blood pressure and heart assessment are the starting point. Where indicated we arrange ECG, echocardiography, ambulatory monitoring and cardiac blood panels through trusted London providers.

Findings are explained plainly. Where a cardiologist is needed we refer directly to a colleague we know and trust; where reassurance is appropriate, we say so.

Where we see you

Private consultations are available in clinic on Harley Street, at your home or hotel across central London, or by secure video for follow-up and results review.
